I was whole foods the other day and I saw this huge pile of artichokes. They were so big and beautiful that I couldn't resist. I don't even really love artichokes, we only have them a few times a year, but these were so pretty I just had to do it. I only got one because they were so big. But here is a picture of my beautiful artichoke.
I like to put some balsamic vinegar and a few spices in the water it helps add just a bit of flavor to th meat of the heart. And sometimes I cut them in half to cook faster, but I couldn't bring myself to do that to this one.
